Just like any other holiday, Halloween can sneak up on you in the blink of an eye, and costume parties are just around the corner. Hunting for the perfect costume can be a time-consuming, stressful, and expensive process.
We’ve put together a list of cheap and easy last-minute Halloween costumes so you don’t have to resort to your regular wardrobe for costume parties.
DETECTIVE
To act as a true detective, you only need a few things, most of which you probably have at home. Grab a trench coat, a shirt with a bow tie and an old hat. To spice things up, get a magnifying glass and a tobacco pipe. What are you waiting for Sherlock?
GHOST
This is probably the easiest costume to make at the last minute. Take an old white bed sheet and a pair of scissors. Cut two holes for your eyes and et voila: The spooky ghost costume is ready.
PIRATE
An absolute classic among Halloween costumes is the pirate costume. Ever since the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow, everyone has wanted to sail the high seas. To create at least the illusion, tie a bandana around your head and braid a few strands. Now you need a white blouse, shorts or a skirt. Wear fishnet tights to spice up the costume and use eyeliner to add facial tattoos.
ADAM SANDLER
You may not be the hottest person at the party in this costume, but you will definitely be comfortable. Find an oversized t-shirt, baggy basketball shorts, and a pair of beat-up sneakers, and the look is complete. The last thing you need is a full beard, just paint it on with Eyeliner.
ZOMBIE
Imitating The Walking Dead isn’t too difficult. Get some old clothes and cut holes in them – you want them to look really ragged. Add a touch of pale makeup and dark circles under your eyes and your zombie look is complete!
MUMMY
Making a mummy costume is super easy. Just loot a first aid kit and use the bandages. Wear a white t-shirt and wrap the bandage around your body – you can secure them with a few safety pins.
KIM POSSIBLE
Call me, beep me, if ya wanna reach me – to reach the real Kim Possible, you only need a few clothes that you probably already have in your closet. Take green cargo pants, a black long-sleeved shirt – cropped if you like. Also a brown belt and black gloves and you’re ready to perform.
