Exploring Sweden, the Nordic cultures, and the countries close by is part of the college experience. JU offers many opportunities to travel and collect lifelong memories with your friends.
If you are eager to explore, do not fear because the associations at JU offer multiple trips in the Nordic area and other fascinating places.
Let’s recap the amazing trips of this school year!
IAC, the Integration and Activity Committee, in collaboration with Timetravels, organizes many trips around the year with exciting activities from skiing to petting mooses and many more. Their popular destinations include Norway, Iceland, Gotland, and Lapland. We can’t forget about their Halloween trip to Copenhagen and the new destination of the Baltics.
Students had the opportunity to travel to Lapland 4 times and spend a week at the magical place for 379-409 euros. People who joined could choose from various activities, such as husky sledding, moose petting, cross-country skiing, driving a snowmobile or swimming in ice cold water. The lucky ones could even witness the northern lights. The Norway trip was organized once in both semesters for 385 euros, where participants could visit the fjords, walk around in Oslo, and go on a glacier hike. Students also had the chance to travel to Iceland, exploring its unique and breathtaking natural landscapes. IAC introduced a new destination this spring, the Baltics. The one-week-long trip is to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. During Halloween, a group of students traveled to Copenhagen for 2 days and explored the city in a spooky spirit.
Twice a year, they organize visits to the Moose Safari, where visitors can feed and pet the animals. The price of 690 SEK includes transportation, lunch, an entrance ticket to the Moose Park, and a patch that will always remind you of the one-day trip to the iconic Swedish animals.
If you enjoy winter sports you should not miss the ski trip to Mullsjö Alpin with IAC. The one-day trip only costs 600 SEK and you get to ski or snowboard with your school friends on the Swedish slopes not so far from Jönköping.
JSA Business Trips arranges an international trip once a year where students have the opportunity to visit companies and expand their professional networks. The destinations of previous trips were Paris, the Netherlands, and Zagreb. This year the association traveled to the Croatian capital city for 5 days and attended insightful presentations at the companies. In their free time, students had the opportunity to explore the city and spend time with their friends.
These trips are open to all JU students and promise unforgettable moments and truly incredible experiences. Be sure to follow their Instagram pages and don’t miss out on the upcoming trips in the next school year!”
