IAC’s Trip to Norway
In September, the Integration Activity Committee (IAC) set off for a five-day trip to Norway. EDIT talked to Pom, Head of Design at IAC, to hear all about their adventures among fjords and mountains!
On the 21st of September, around fifty students took off to Norway on a twelve-hour long bus ride. Once they finally arrived, the group stayed in cottages right by the fjord in Luster, surrounded by breathtaking views.
The five days in Norway were filled with exciting activities. During the trip, the students explored some of Norway’s most iconic sights and places, like Bergen and Oslo. They also hiked up steep trails, cruised through the fjords, and even visited one of the country’s oldest churches. The glacier hike quickly became a favorite.
“It was a bit steep, but it was really fun,” Pom recalls.

On top of that, they also had the opportunity to go on a boat safari, as well as just relax in the sauna. The trip ended in Oslo, where students could join a guided city tour or explore on their own, such as visiting the National Museum or the Opera House.

“Everyone was having fun, and I’ve only heard good things so far. We were also super lucky with the weather,” says Pom.
Other Trips and Activities
The Norway trip is just one of many adventures organized by IAC. Shortly after the Norway trip, students went on a moose safari, and next up is the popular Lapland trip! Other destinations include the Baltics and Iceland. Any student is welcome to go on these trips, and each trip offers a mix of group activities and free time.

About the IAC
“The team spirit is really nice,” Pom says. “You feel welcome at IAC, and you make friends there. I like seeing students at events and connecting with them.”
The Integration Activity Committee (IAC) aims to help students connect and experience Swedish culture. Besides organizing trips, IAC is responsible for events like Culture Day and the Buddy Programme. Anyone can come on these events or trips, whether you’re international or not!
