Quick and Easy Christmas Gift Ideas for College Students
Christmas time is just around the corner, and you don’t have a Christmas gift for your loved ones yet? Tick tock people… time is running out. Well, no worries, Edit’s got you! Christmas time is a time to show your loved ones how much they mean to you, and this does not have to mean showering them with gifts. Here are some quick and easy, as well as wallet-friendly gift ideas for you college students looking for a gift that won’t leave you bankrupt at New Year’s.
Gift Idea Number 1: DIY Bakers Kit
You have most likely heard of this one before, a baker’s kit, but with a twist.
Step 1: Mix up the dry ingredients of your or their favorite cookie recipe (or cake recipe) and put it in a jar (can be bought at Ikea, Chlas Ohlsson etc)
Step 2: Using thread, attach a Christmas cookie cutter (you can also add candy canes for an extra touch)
Step 3: Write a little note with baking instructions for your loved one to follow 🙂

Gift Idea Number 2: Relaxation Basket
Use a cute box you already have at home, or one you can buy at your local grocery store, and fill it with a few personalized relaxing items that make for a fun and cheap gift everyone would appreciate! Whether the person receiving the gift is a parent, a friend, or a relative, we all have some level of stress that we could really use a break from.
Step 1: As mentioned, find a basket you have laying around at home or buy one for a reasonable price. An alternative to a basket is a pair of fluffy or regular slippers, which you can find for a good price at Normal.
Step 2: Head over to a nearby store, Normal for example, and get personalized items for the one receiving the gift, this can for instance be pimple patches, facemasks, under-eye masks, lip/face scrubs, etc.
Step 3: Get some nice, small packaged snacks at any grocery store for your gift basket.
Step 4: Once you have all the items you like, nicely pack them inside your basket and add a little note where you wish them a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Gift Idea Number 3: Memory Basket
Using old and new pictures for you and your loved one, make a present they have never received before.
Step 1: Go to Clas Ohlson, or any craft store and get a picture frame to your liking.
Step 2: Print out a lot of pictures of you and the person.
Step 3: Decorate the picture frame to your liking.
Step 4: Arrange the pictures how you want them and tape them to help them fit the frame.
Step 5: Write a note to the person and place it face up from the back of the picture frame, that way the message can be read when turning the frame around. Make the note as large as the back of the frame to cover any flaws in the back.

Gift Idea Number 4: Treat Basket
What Christmas is all about is taking time out of our busy schedules, spending time with our families, as well as eating all those fun Christmas treats.
Receiving a treat basket is something everyone would appreciate, so strap on those gloves and head out to get those snacks.
Step 1: Start by buying a basket from either Normal or a larger grocery store.
Step 2: Head over the a grocery store and get 8-10 of your favorite Christmas snacks. This can, for instance, be gingerbread cookies, Christmas-themed candies such as Juleskum, Christmas chocolates, etc.
Step 3: Put all snacks neatly in the basket, and add a little personalized note in the basket.
Step 4: Get some plastic wrap from home or the store and nicely wrap the basket from the bottom up.
Step 5: Finally, get a nice silk band and tie a bow around the plastic wrap to close it and make it look store-bought.
