Everything You Need To Know About West Coast’s Annual Sexkamp
Soon it is time for Valborg!
A day when students at JU gather in Hälsoparken to sit on camping chairs or blankets while listening to music and enjoying the (hopefully) beautiful Spring weather.
During this massive picnic, there is one thing you don’t want to miss out on — namely, West Coast’s annual Sexkamp.
EDIT contacted West Coast to get some details about this year’s Sexkamp, and this is what they answered —
What is Sexkampen?
“Sexkampen is a fun and action-packed competition between the sexmasteries, that takes place every Valborg. This year, we’re switching things up a bit by also inviting a student team outside of the committees to join the challenge! In total, there will be 7 teams with 6 people in each.”
What can one expect from this year’s Sexkamp?
“You can expect a series of creative and hilarious mini-games that are just as fun to watch as they are to compete in. The atmosphere is always full of energy, with lots of cheering, laughter, and great vibes all around. It’s definitely one of the highlights of Valborg.”
Where and when does it take place? And what kind of challenges is it?
“The competition kicks off at 13:00 in the lower Hälsoparken. The challenges are a mix of physical, silly, and strategic games, all designed to entertain both participants and the crowd. Whether you’re in it to win, or just there to watch, it’s a guaranteed good time.”
Can you explain more about the ‘student team’? Why is that added this year?
“Yes! New this year is the addition of a student team. It will be a group of six students who aren’t part of any sexmastery but still want to compete. If that sounds like you, check out our Instagram for more details on how to apply! (@westcoastnationju) We added this team because we wanted to open up the event and include more students. Not everyone is involved in a committee, but that doesn’t mean they should miss out on the chance to take part. It’s our way of making Sexkampen a little bigger and a bit more inclusive.”
Lastly, what’s West Coast’s best tip for an awesome Valborg?
“Our top tip: be there early for Sexkampen! The park fills up quickly, and you don’t want to miss the best spots to watch the action. Other than that, don’t forget to bring something to sit on, since we’ll be hanging out in the park all day. And as always, stay hydrated!”
