Valborgsmässoafton- a JU Classic
What would you do if the Edit team told you there is a perfect event to kickoff the new spring season? Well there is! Valborgsmässoafton is an old Swedish tradition, one that has been celebrated for long, and will continue to be celebrated for years to come.
Valborgsmässoafton is a tradition in which we celebrate by going out with friends and watching a large bonfire in large crowds. The bonfire set up every year on May 1, the day of the famous holiday, is a representation of a new and fresh start.
Each year, JSU holds an annual celebration with the students of the school, in which everyone is invited. This year, the event is held on April 30th, where the festivities begin at 12.00 at Hälsoparken.
During the day there will be a competition held by Westcoast, in which the students will get to cheer for the different sexmasteries and members of the AKA crew while they compete in different challenges.
On the JUstudent instagram page, information regarding the event can be found, in which they have posted a schedule for the whole day
According to this schedule, this is what the busy day looks like:
12.00– Choir and spring speeches
13.00– WestCoast competition (Sexkamp)
16.00– Distribution of prizes from the competition
16.30– Band-RIO
18.00– Different DJ´s are coming to play for the students
20.00– AKA opens
Valborgsmässoafton is a fun holiday in which students can go out and meet one another, and where a new start is celebrated. This is the perfect time for us to go out and once again experience fun activities outside with those we love and cherish. Sunny times are soon ahead, go to the Valborg event and have the time of your life.
