If you are here it means you’ve already stumbled across our Instagram or website. Feel free to snoop around, we actually support stalking (strictly on OUR webpage and social media!).
You might wonder who we are and what we do at JU.
We are students, just like you. Our group is very diverse with different backgrounds and interests. You would most likely find your new best friend amongst our members.
We have members from almost all the different schools at JU meaning if you see us in Aka you’ll face an explosion of colors of our ovve.
EDIT publishes online articles every Tuesday and Thursday, here on our website. We aim to write about relatable topics for you, JU students. Covering important events, interviewing the most interesting people on campus and sharing valuable tips for student life.
Some of our most popular articles include ‘Kicking Off A New Kick Off: Changes, Challenges and What’s Next?’ from January or ‘OPINION: Exclusively Swedish – Exposing the Discrimination in JU’s Student Sub-Organizations’ from June 2024. You can find a series called ‘How to Adult’ that covers various topics of adulting and living alone.
We also release physical magazines at the beginning of every semester. And they are for FREE (Unbelievable, I know.) So next time you are on campus grab a magazine from the stands which you can find at the entrance of each building.
If you are wondering about the previous magazines, no problem at all, you can find them here, on our website.
And when it comes to events, EDIT won’t disappoint. We organise a Halloween Movie Night every year when we choose a movie to celebrate the spookiest night of the year, provide free snacks and scream together from time to time. All this happens in the Ju-Aula which gives you the perfect cinema experience with comfy chairs and a huge screen. Previously we have watched Scream and Talk to me.
At the beginning of the second semester we organize a Release Party for the spring issue of our physical magazine where you are able to compete in fun games, hang out with your friends and enjoy cool entertainment. It is a truly unforgettable night!
Last year we introduced writing competitions with different topics. How it works? It’s very easy. You write a story that matches the topic and you send it in. If your piece is the best you receive an amazing prize and get your short story published on our website. We had a Halloween and a Valentine’s Day writing competition and the winner stories are available on our website.
Now the only thing left for you to do is some snooping and stalking. Have fun!
