Unique, exciting, and fashion – that’s how the project managers of Spring Inspiration 2021 describe what we can expect for this year’s fashion show, now on Saturday April 17th at 7PM. Get ready for a night full of fashion, performances, and competitions – all you need to do is grab a ticket.
With less than a week left Malin Sunnefeldt and Cajsa Malmström, the project managers of Spring Inspiration, and the rest of the teams are preparing all the details for the big day. On Saturday, April 17th at 7PM Scandinavia’s biggest fashion show held by students takes place live streamed from Jönköping. All you need is a ticket, which you can get on their website until April 15th. There are two ticket options; either a regular one for 50 SEK, or the tapas one that besides the ticket also includes a tapas plate that you pick up at the restaurant at Science Park between 4PM-5:30PM on the day of the fashion show, for 170 SEK and is only available for citizens in Jönköping. The first hundred buying the tapas ticket will also receive a goodie bag. So far, the ticket sale has gone way better than both Malin and Cajsa thought it would have at this stage.
“We can see that people actually understand what we are doing and why they are buying tickets, so it’s very fun” says Malin Sunnefeldt.
Cajsa explains that it’s very important that everyone is buying an individual ticket, since there will be a few competitions during the night that will need their individual tickets. They both say that the participants can expect really good prizes. About one to two hours before the start of the show, all ticket buyers will be getting an email where they receive a link and a password to use at the Spring Inspiration website to attend the fashion show. This makes it important that you fill in your correct email address. Beside from fashion and competition, the event team can tell that the one and a half hour long fashion show also will offer performances from the Showtime dance group, and the two artists Malin and Amanda, who are former students at JU. But they keep the rest as a secret till the big day. A few days ago, it was announced that last year’s project managers Charlotta Herkommer and Jacob Bergengren will be this year’s hosts.
“As last year’s show was cancelled, we’re super excited to announce to you guys that we’re gonna be your hosts for Spring Inspiration fashion show 2021” says Jacob in the announcement video at Instagram.
In a comment to EDIT the model team says that the model practices have been good, they have always been evolving and having an amazing energy. They all want to create the best fashion show in Spring Inspiration history, so they are all putting in the work. On the other side of the fashion show, the design team has designed a collection with this year’s theme “Spring Inspiration goes worldwide” with influences from all over the world, and also with 100% recycled materials. Initially they saw it as a challenge given the unfortunate circumstances, and limitations they had to face.
“However, being creative and thinking outside the box allowed us to create a collection we are truly proud of! A journey where appreciation of the small things was more important than ever. Sustainable, recycled, and most of all visionary!” says the design team in a comment to EDIT.
The project managers can tell the EDIT readers that they have been checking out both the model practice and the collection that the design team has made and can say that this is something you don’t want to miss. But for the two of them there are mixed feelings for the big day. After working with this for about a year, they feel sad that it’s almost over, at the same time as they are stressed, nervous, and most of all very excited to finally see it happen. On Saturday, Jönköping and the rest of the world can take part in Scandinavia’s biggest student-driven fashion show, which Cajsa and Malin describe with three words as: unique, exciting and fashion.
